Lots of deadlines to hit in the next few days, but I have my desk and my paper and my pens and my computer. YES!

Yikes! Hello Internet! How are You?

I am working as hard and as fast as I can to get my living and workspace back to normal so I can get back to normal and start drawing and working again.

Perhaps I see a little light at the end of the tunnel? I spent most of the day assembling a few pieces of IKEA furniture. Big thanks to Zach and Emily who saved me from being smooshed by an Expedit Bookcase.

Time for a sandwich break and then I am going to tackle the upstairs loft.

I am hoping for everything to be back to normal by august first, but really I would love to be up and working by this weekend. I have zines to send out! drawings to draw! websites to update! lessons to plan! papers to write! people to see! SO EXCITED to get to do any of the above.

YAY!

Goodbye Mississippi! Hello Oregon!

So we are doing it! Tomorrow we pick up our moving truck, load it and then head west in the evening. If anybody wants to see recent daily drawings, please check my Flickr for latest additions. I will be posting all later soon. I will also be posting trip photos and updating my Twitter as we blast westward.

ALSO, What Did You Buy Today? Subscribers will be getting their June issue a bit late this month. I have all photocopied, but will mail them once I arrive in Portland (heck, I could hand deliver a few to my portland subscribers...that would be hilarious!).

We are so excited to be moving to Oregon. I will miss my friends at Mississippi State dearly and will miss my students like MAD (like out of my mind with sadness). My sadness is put at bay a bit since the internet is AWESOME and I am in contact with so many of my students and mississippi friends almost daily through it.

My other site, Crap Detector!, will be back in action soon and will still be of interest to anyone who loves visual culture. Instead of focusing on Mississippi State kids, I will be focusing on my new Portland State kids and posting their assignments, awards and activities.

Okay, I still need to pack my desk (no small feat) and do a load of laundry.

June 25th: Four Pack of Toothbrushes

Four pack of brushes for five dollars. I am sad, but I think I have fallen out of love with my sonic care.

GTR--->PDX aka, I am using this purchase today.

Sitting in the columbus airport (GTR) almost ready to board the small, tiny, small, wee, plane to atlanta (ATL) and then to seattle and then to portland. Should be arriving tonight. Will be staying with friends emily and zach. This week involves: renting a car, signing a lease, seeing my new place of work, meeting peoples and saying hello to my new hometown!

Clifton and I are officially leaving Mississippi on the 14th of July. Let's do this thing!

Just Listed! Color Daily Drawings!

I found a small pile of daily drawings that I added color to for an installation that I put together in early 2007. I am not sure what days these represent and the style is a little less detailed than the normal daily drawings, but they have color!

Each drawing is 8x10 on archival drawing paper.

These do not come with screen printed certificates of authenticity like the original daily drawings do, but, hey! they have color!
